Growing up on the shores of Lake Huron, I was fascinated by the landscape. My work reflects that passion. I start by defining the landscape-what it is that moves me about this particular moment in time. My work is a collaboration between my own way of seeing and the beauty that already exists in nature. I believe that there is a story for every landscape and I’m fixed to tell it. For me photography is about engaging in something long enough for the story to unfold before me. I spend a long time observing before a shot is taken. The result is a captured moment in time that impacted me.
